Twin Rivers Paper Company Targets QSR and Food Service Applications

South Portland, ME (May 12, 2011) – Twin Rivers Paper Company has expanded its line of specialty packaging papers to better meet the needs of quick serve restaurants (QSRs) and the food service industry, including package functionality, sustainability requirements and brand differentiation.

Engineered for applications involving exposure to grease, heat and moisture, Twin Rivers’ packaging papers are used for bags, pouches, wraps and liners in food service applications and interleavers and liners in food processing applications. The two primary packaging brands, Acadia® and Bladepak®, are available in a range of grease resistance, options in wet strength content, light to heavy basis weights, and choices in recycled and fiber certification.

Acadia, an uncoated machine finished paper, is available in a basis weight range of 15-75 lbs. and Bladepak C1S coated paper is available in a basis weight range of 35-73 lbs. Both brands are known for excellent printability, and convertability, performing well in secondary processes such as coating, waxing, foil and film laminating, and metallizing. All Twin Rivers packaging papers are FDA compliant and meet all GMP requirements for direct food contact applications.
