South Portland, ME March 7, 2013 Twin Rivers Paper Company, a leader in lightweight specialty packaginglabel and publishing papers, will showcase its portfolio of sustainable packaging papers at the Sustainability in Packaging Conference, March 13-15 in Orlando, Florida.

“With the growing need for sustainable packaging papers, Twin Rivers is committed to meeting this demand. We will be featuring two exciting additions to our lightweight packaging paper lineup at the conference: Acadia® EcoBarrier and Acadia® Natural. Acadia® EcoBarrier is an oil- and grease-resistant product that achieves barrier properties without the use of fluorochemicals. Acadia® Natural is a lightweight packaging paper manufactured with unbleached or “natural” fiber. Both offerings are FDA-compliant and fully compostable and recyclable providing the food packaging and QSR industry environmentally-friendly alternatives,” says Dave Deger, Director of Business Development and Marketing.

Twin Rivers’ sustainable packaging portfolio includes papers made without the use of fluorochemicals; papers manufactured from unbleached pulp; papers that are recyclable and compostable; and papers produced with varying levels of recycled content. All of Twin Rivers’ packaging papers are certified to Sustainable Forestry Initiative® (SFI®) fiber sourcing program standards. Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) chain-of-custody (FSC®-C002686) is available upon request.
