South Portland, ME December 18, 2012 – Twin Rivers Paper Company’s employees have reaffirmed their commitment to local communities through their contributions to the Giving Tree Program, Bob Fife Foundation, Rado, and the Northern Aroostook Toys for Tots Campaign. The Giving Tree Program delivers gifts to people in the St. John Valley who need it most during the holiday season. The Northern Aroostook County Toys for Tots Campaign brings toys to children from the St. John Valley. The Bob Fife Foundation delivers food to underprivileged children in schools and Rado is an organization where needy families go for clothes, food and other necessities.
“Giving back to the community is very important this holiday season and it is great to see the outpouring of support for both of these worthy causes,” says Christine Gendreau, Community Relations Chair, Giving Tree Program.
Successful gift drives are one of the many ways Twin Rivers supports its employees’ commitment to the community. Employees raised over six thousand dollars in donations for these programs. This community outreach also includes donations to local schools for project graduation and school mentorship programs.
