Twin Rivers Joins Evangelical Christian Publishing Organization

Madawaska, ME (November 20, 2014) — Twin Rivers Paper Company joined the Evangelical Christian Publishing Association (ECPA), an international non-profit trade organization involved in the publishing and distribution of religious content worldwide. The membership allows Twin Rivers to deepen its understanding the issues that affect religious publishers and printers internationally while serving as a paper resource for the association.

“We expect to become fully engaged with the ECPA, working side by side with member companies to drive substrate innovation,” said Robert Hutchins, Product Manager. “We’ve been making paper for 80 years and supplying the religious market with specialty lightweight publishing papers for more than a decade. It is important to work closely with users and specifiers to provide solutions for their supply chain and production challenges.”

Knowing religious publishers’ objective of cost effectively delivering more books and evangelical materials across the globe, Twin Rivers introduced a new generation of paper, Premium Hybrid. It is engineered with the optimal blend of Groundwood and Freesheet fiber to deliver opacity, strength and yield savings. Additionally, Twin Rivers is one of the largest North American manufacturers of Lightweight Opaque Freesheet papers, a category widely used for scriptural applications because of strength, quality and printability.

Twin Rivers recently partnered with the ECPA to sponsor PUBu, a two-day educational and networking seminar held on October 20-21, 2014. Industry experts led sessions in key publishing elements including production, design, editorial and marketing. Paul LaCroix, National Accounts Manager, added, “PUBu was our first official event with the ECPA. Attendees were interested in understanding the potential impact of paper choices on their publications. I look forward to serving as a supply chain resource.”
