Twin Rivers Announces Leadership Transition

Tyler Rajeski Named Chief Executive Officer; Debabrata Mukherjee to Continue Service as Chairman of the Board

Madawaska, Maine – January 2, 2025 – Twin Rivers Paper Company (“Twin Rivers”), a leading producer of specialty paper products, announced today the promotion of Tyler Rajeski as Chief Executive Officer, effective February 1, 2025. Tyler succeeds Debabrata Mukherjee, who will continue his service to Twin Rivers as Chairman of the Board.

Tyler joined Twin Rivers Paper in April 2022 as Vice President of Finance and was named Chief Financial Officer in August 2022, leading the company’s finance, accounting, treasury and tax functions. In April 2023, he was named President in addition to his role as Chief Financial Officer. Previously, Tyler held Associate and Senior Associate positions with Atlas Holdings (“Atlas”), which acquired Twin Rivers in 2013. Tyler completed GE’s Financial Management Program and holds a degree in finance from Siena College.

“Deba joined Twin Rivers in 2021 at a critical time for the company, bringing immediate stability and laying the foundation for the company’s effective growth strategy. As this strategy has been implemented, Twin Rivers has experienced exceptional operational and service improvement over the last three years under the capable leadership of Deba and Tyler. We are confident Twin Rivers’ strong performance will continue as Tyler takes on this new role,” said Atlas Principal Daniel Merriam. “Twin Rivers has been very well served by these two exceptional leaders and we look forward to our continued partnership with both Tyler and Deba.”

“In 2021, after serving on the board of Twin Rivers Paper for several years, I took on an additional assignment as CEO. Through the hard work of our dedicated Leadership Team and our more than 1,000 associates, Twin Rivers has become profitable, stable and well positioned for the future. In recent years, the Leadership Team oversaw the sale of Twin Rivers’ Plaster Rock lumber facility and the Pine Bluff Kraft mill, establishing a simplified and more nimble organization better suited to focus on the specialty paper business and significantly increasing the company’s profitability and leadership position in the market,” said Debabrata Mukherjee. “Tyler has been instrumental in these achievements, and I look forward to supporting him as he assumes the senior executive role at Twin Rivers.”

“I have worked with Deba very closely since he began as CEO of Twin Rivers, first supporting the company during my tenure with Atlas and eventually as a member of his Leadership Team,” said Tyler Rajeski. “In this time, I’ve experienced the growth opportunities that can be seized by an intense focus on continuously improving the service we provide to our customers. Twin Rivers has become a leading integrated manufacturer of specialty packaging, technical specialties, label and publishing paper products that is stable and profitable with a rock-solid balance sheet in an industry where many have struggled.  The future of Twin Rivers is exceptionally bright. We are truly an integral part of the cities and towns where we operate, serving as an economic stimulus for so many other businesses across Maine, New York and Canada. I want to thank Deba for his leadership and I look forward to what we can achieve in this next era for Twin Rivers.”
